Biography

• Anna Eleanor Roosevelt New York, October 11,


1884 – November 7, 1962) was an American writer,
activist, and politician. She was First Lady of the
United States from March 4, 1933, to April 12, 1945,
during the four presidential terms of her husband
Franklin D. Roosevelt. She served as a United States
delegate to the United States General Assembly.
United Nations from 1945 to 1952. Harry S. Truman
later called her the "First Lady of the World" for her
advances in human rights.
