“HUMAN BRAIN” most valuable creation of God.

Can we get back a persons brain if that person dies???
What happen if we create brain and upload contents of Natural Brain into
it???
VIRTUAL BRAIN

• A machine that can function as brain

• It can take decision.
• It can think.
• It can response.
• It can keep things in memory.
• It also has feelings and emotions.
BLUE BRAIN

• Blue brain is a swiss brain research initiative that aims to

create a digital reconstruction of rodent and eventually
human brain by reverse-engg .

• The project was founded in 2005 by Brain & Mind Institute

in Switzerland.

• Supercomputer that have functionality of “HUMAN BRAIN”.

HUMAN BRAIN
 Sensory Input :-

Receiving input such as sound ,image, etc

through sensory cell .
 Interpretation.
Interpretation of the received input by the brain by
defining states of neurons in the brain.
 Motor Output.
Receiving of electric responses from the brain to
perform any action .
IMPLIMATION OF BLUE BRAIN
HOW HUMAN BRAIN WILL BE UPLOADED
INTO IT???
 Interface between natural brain and the computer.
 These small robots install into human brain.
 Small enough to scan all activities and travell.

CONTINUE……

• A Super Computer (Blue Gene) built by IBM capable of processing 228

TFLOPS.
• Memory with large storing Capacity (256 to 512 MB per processor).
• 100kw power consumption.
• Very powerful Nanobots to interface between natural brain and Computer.
• Linux and C++ software.

BUILDING BLUE BRAIN
1) Data acquisition
2) Simulation
3) Visualization of results.
DATA ACQUISITION

 Measuring the shape and electrical

activity of individual neurons.
 The electrophysiological behaviour
of neurons is studied using a
12 patch clamp instrument.
SIMULATION
 The primary software used by the BBP
for neural simulations is a package called
NEURON.

 It is written in C, C++, and FORTRAN.

 The simulation step involves

synthesizing virtual cells using the
algorithms that were found to describe
real neurons.
VISUALIZATION
 RTNeuron is the primary
application used by the BBP for
visualisation of neural
simulations. The software was
developed internally by the BBP
team.
 It is written in C++ and OpenGL.

FLASHES OF ACTIVITY
BENEFITS

A. Gathering & Testing 100 years of data.

B. Cracking the neural code.
C. Understanding neocortical information processing.
D. Novel tool for Drug Discovery for Brain Disorder.
E. A foundation for whole Brain Simulation.
• A very good example of utilization of blue brain is the case "short term
memory".

• In some movies we might have noticed that a person might be having short
term memories.
DISADVANTAGES

• We become dependent upon the computers.

• Another fear is found with respect to human cloning.

• A very costly procedure of regaining the memory back.
