Introduction
What are PDMPs? – Prescription Drug Monitoring
Programs (PDMPs) are electronic databases that track
controlled substance prescriptions in a state.

Why are PDMPs Important? – Since the creation of


PDMPs and legislation, opioid abuse has been decreasing, by
a percentage of 6.9% in 2021

Why does Waverly Family Health need to implement a


PDMP? - Waverly Family Health promotes the health of
both families and individuals in the surrounding area. By
implementing a PDM program, they can actualize their goals
by acting in reducing the risk of providing a prescription
opioid to a potential addict and doing their part in relieving
the effects of the opioid crisis.
