We all know
that regular
exercise can
help us to
keep healthy
and happy.
And we also
know that
tobacco will
prevent us
from being
healthy and
happy.
The Big Question is:
Can sexual
activity help
us to keep
healthy and
happy?
 Scientific
research
shows that
with
appropriate
boundaries,
Six Things Every Couple Should Know About Sex

sexual
intimacy
could make
us more
healthy
and happy!
What are its benefits?
Here are 8 of them!
1. Sex lowers
stress.
It causes the
brain to
produce the
serotonin,
which lowers
our stress.
2. It offers
protection.

It boosts the
immune
system, which
helps to protect
us against
infections.
3. Sex helps us to relax, and
this lowers blood pressure.
 4. This exercise burns
calories! 30 minutes of
sex burns 85 calories.
5. It improves
heart health.
Activity
increases blood
flow, and this
aids the
prevention of
heart disease.
6. Sexual activity
decreases pain.

Rise in endorphins
decreases pain and
increases feelings
of pleasure.
 7. Sex
improves
our mood.
The rise in
levels of
estrogen
enhances
our mood.
8.It aids sleep. Release of oxytocin
during orgasm enhances sleep.
 God Himself
says that
sexual activity
is good!
 Genesis 2:24
“Therefore a man shall
leave his father and
mother and be joined to
his wife, and they shall
become one flesh.”
 The term
“one flesh”
refers to
sexual
intimacy.
In the Old Testament, God
the Father commended it.
And in the
New
Testament
God the
Son
endorsed
it.
 Jesus Said
“So then, they are
no longer two but
one flesh.”
Matthew 19:6
 Since it was
made by our holy Father, and blessed by our
loving Savior, within
marriage, sex
Is not common. It is sacred!
Is not dirty. It is clean!
Is not nasty. It is holy!
So, the
answer
is
Yes!
Sexual Activity can be
good for our health!
 But the
answer is
also

No!
 Sex with
the wrong
partner
can be
bad for
our health!
It can
cause
STDs!
 What are
some
Sexually
Transmitted
Diseases?
 STDs include
Chlamydia, genital
herpes, gonorrhea
HIV/AIDS, hepatitis
B, and syphilis.
The deadliest one is
 STDs are a silent
epidemic!
▪ 25% of American
teenagers are infected!
▪ 50% of sexually active
adults have the infection!
 If you’re
uncertain,
get
tested!
 And if you are
infected, get treated.
Most STDs can be
treated with
antibiotics.
 Cure
Prevention
But Prevention
is better than
cure!
 What’s the
Master Key
to
Prevention?
Have sex
with your
safe
marriage
partner
only.
Let’s listen
to the
prescription
of
Dr. Jesus.
 The Divine
Prescription!
“You shall not
commit adultery.”

homosexual
nature or

natures and sinful

the desire is only the

behavior!
That’s the
Sin!
 So, while we
reject
homosexual
behavior, we
should love
the
homosexual,
just as Jesus
does!
 Attention!
In addition to
the risk of
STDs,
there are other
dangers from casual
sexual activity!
1. Unwanted
pregnancy.
That can alter
the course of
your life.
Feelings of Guilt.

This can
destroy
your
peace of
mind!
 Guilt feelings after
marriage, which can cause
sexual dysfunction.

Vicious
Cycle!
Promiscuity Moving
from one
partner
to
another.
 This
terrible
cycle
Promiscuity can be
hard to
break!
So how can
I get
victory over
sexual
temptation?

Make a Firm
Decision
It all starts
with the
mind.
And the
mind is
powerful.
Make Up Your Mind!
“Resist the devil and

Maintain High
Self Worth!
 If I have
low self
worth, I
become
vulnerable
to
promiscuity.
 For Example
Kate’s father keeps telling
her that she’s no good. Then
comes Charlie who flatters
her, hugs her, then urges her
to have sex with him.
What is she likely to do?
She’ll say, “Yes!”
 Why?
Because her
self worth is
LOW!
 But high
self worth
helps us
resist wrong
sexual
behavior.
 For Example
Kaija’s dad often tells her
how special she is to him.
So when Charlie comes by
with his flattery and asks
her to have sex with him,
what is she likely to say?
She will say, “No!”
 Why?
Because her
self worth is
HIGH!
No matter
what others
say,

I ‘m not cheap! I am Valuable!

My body is so
valuable that
it was bought
with the
precious blood
of Jesus!
Very Precious!
“You were bought at a
price; therefore glorify
God in your body and in
your spirit which are
God’s.”
1 Corinthians 6:20.
Do You Know?
God’s
prescription
for sexual
health is one
of His Ten
Command-
ments!

 Sent from
the heart of
God, it is
His Law of
Love.
 Jesus Says
“If you love
Me, keep My
commandments.”
John 14:15
“If you love Me”
 Did Christ
ever abolish
any one of
His Ten
Commands?
 Look what Jesus
said!
“Do not think that I came
to destroy the Law or the
Prophets. I did not come
to destroy but to fulfill.”
Matthew 5:17
Jesus said:
Don’t even
think it!
And after
I am
saved by
God’s
Grace, do I
need to
obey God’s
 Apostle Paul answered
that Question!
“Do we then made void
the law through faith?
Certainly not! On the
contrary, we establish the
law.”
Romans 3:31
Romans 3:31, NIV
“Do we, then, nullify
the law by this faith?
Not at all! Rather, we
uphold the law.”
 So when
I’m saved
by the
Grace of
Jesus, I
keep the
Law of
Jesus!
Speedy Harry and the Police
 Speedy Harry
Harry likes to speed, and one
day the police stopped him.
After he told a story and
pleaded for mercy, the cop
said, “I’m giving you grace!
Instead of a ticket, I’m giving
you a warning.”
But the next day Harry was
speeding again! And the same
officer met him!
“What’s your story today?”
asked the policeman.
“Well, sir, since you gave me
grace yesterday, I thought that
I was free to break the law
today!”
 If you
were the
cop, what
would you
say to
Harry?
 Since the police gave him grace
yesterday, he should be careful to
keep the law today!
So when I’m
saved by the
Grace of
Jesus, I have
an obligation
to keep the
Law of
Jesus.
 Sexual Intimacy is
Sacred because
1.God created it in Eden.
2.God included it in His
Ten Commandments.
3.God used it as a parable!
It’s His illustration!
The Parable!
Ephesians 5:31,32.
“‘For this reason a man shall
leave his father and mother
and be joined to his wife, and
the two shall become one
flesh.’ This is a great mystery,
but I speak concerning Christ
and the church.”
