M-209 PRACTICAL SCHOOL
SOCIAL SERVICES
Social services are a range of public services intended to provide support and assistance
towards particular groups, which commonly include the disadvantaged.

Some of the social activities we performed:

1. Feeding Stray Animals
The times we are living in can sometimes leave us perplexed about the good and the bad. On the
one hand, they say “the world is a bad place to live in” and then on the other, we encounter and
read of so many instances of kindness, making us believe otherwise. While the perception of
good or bad is subjective, we have witnessed a pleasant change over the years -- that of feeding
stray animals! Once shunned by society, stray animals are finding their way into the hearts and
minds of a particular segment of humans. These animal lovers are doing their bit to provide less
fortunate animals with one of the basic needs of living -- food!

2. Feeding Poor’s

Leaving a life that is meaningful is something that everyone needs. However, it is not something
going into a spiritual quest. All the spiritual quests are going away from life. Unfortunately, you
cannot find the meaning of life by going away from life. In fact, it can be found only in finding the
meaning here in life, not going to some lonely place to meditate. You can find the real essence of
life only when you help others because you are living with others and your relationship matters.

3. Contribution to PM National relief fund
In pursuance of an appeal by the then Prime Minister, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru in January,
1948, the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) was established with public
contributions to assist displaced persons from Pakistan. The resources of the PMNRF are
now utilized primarily to render immediate relief to families of those killed in natural
calamities like floods, cyclones and earthquakes, etc. and to the victims of the major
accidents and riots.

4. Contribution to PM Cares Fund

The Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM
CARES Fund) was created on 27 March 2020, following the COVID-19 pandemic in India.
Although it is named for the Prime Minister of India, and uses the State Emblem of India, it is
a private fund, used at the discretion of the Prime Minister and the Fund's trustees, and
does not form a part of the Government of India's accounts. The Fund was established for
the purpose of redressing the Covid-19 pandemic in India, in 2020.
