Plant Cell
Plant Cell
AND
ANIMAL CELL
• They are also an eukaryotic cell, they have true nucleus and
some specialised structures called organelles.
• Unlike plant cell they do not have a cell wall and a chloroplast,
ANIMAL indeed they have only a cell membrane.
CELL
PLANT CELL
Plant cells are differentiated from the cell of
other organism by their cell walls, chloroplast
and central vacuoles.
Unlike animal cells plants have the
capabilities to make their own food by the
process called “photosynthesis”.
Animal cell are dependent on the plant cell for
their food.
They are photoautotrophic because they use
the light energy to make their food that is
GLUCOSE.
Organisms that rely on plants for their food
are called heterotrophic organisms.
ANIMAL CELL
It is a multicellular organisms, surrounded
by the cell membrane, the boundary which
seperates the outer portion of the cells
from the inner part of the cell.
It encloses all the cell components of the
cell which suspended inside the cell in a
cytoplasm.
They have well defined nucleus and well
bound organelles
Like some of them are single membrane,
some are double membrane bound
organelles.
It contains a nucleotide which contains the
material needed for cell division.
