ANIMAL CELL

CELL
It is a fundamental basic unit of life, all multicellular and almost
all unicellular organisms are made up of cells. Basically cell
includes three components which are cell membrane, nucleus,
cytoplasm and some of the major organelles.
CYTOPLASM
It is a semi fluid matrix which fill half of the cell. It is also refer
as cytosol.
CELL MEMBRANE
It is the outer lining of the cell, it seperates the cell from the outer
aqueous environment. It also allows the material to enter and
leave the cell.
NUCLEUS
It is responsible for the growth of the cell by doing the cell
division, it also carries the DNA(hereditary material of the cell). It
is surrounded by a nuclear membrane which protects both the DNA
and separates the nucleus from the cell.
ORGANELLES
There are many types of organelles which are responsible for the
specific body functioning, such as ER, mitochondria, lysosomes,
golgi apparatus, vacuoles, ribosomes etc.
TYPES OF CELLS

• It is a eukaryotic cell, it contains membrane bound organelles

and nucleus.
• They are most unique eukaryotic cell as they have chloroplast,
PLANT 90% of cell occupies vacuoles.
CELL

• They are also an eukaryotic cell, they have true nucleus and
some specialised structures called organelles.
• Unlike plant cell they do not have a cell wall and a chloroplast,
ANIMAL indeed they have only a cell membrane.
CELL
PLANT CELL
 Plant cells are differentiated from the cell of
other organism by their cell walls, chloroplast
and central vacuoles.
 Unlike animal cells plants have the
capabilities to make their own food by the
process called “photosynthesis”.
 Animal cell are dependent on the plant cell for
their food.
 They are photoautotrophic because they use
the light energy to make their food that is
GLUCOSE.
 Organisms that rely on plants for their food
are called heterotrophic organisms.
ANIMAL CELL
 It is a multicellular organisms, surrounded
by the cell membrane, the boundary which
seperates the outer portion of the cells
from the inner part of the cell.
 It encloses all the cell components of the
cell which suspended inside the cell in a
cytoplasm.
 They have well defined nucleus and well
bound organelles
 Like some of them are single membrane,
some are double membrane bound
organelles.
 It contains a nucleotide which contains the
material needed for cell division.
