Electromagnetism
Fleming’s Left hand Rule and Right hand Rule
Fleming’s Left Hand Rule
This rule is applied to find the direction of the Force
(Motion) on a current carrying conductor in a
magnetic field.
Thumb, Index Finger and Middle Finger are kept
Perpendicular to each other.
Finger Quantity
Index Finger Field
Middle Finger Current
Thumb Force

Left Hand or Left Palm

Left palm rule
Easy alternative to the left hand rule
FIELD
Thumb is held perpendicular to Other Fingers
Force in the direction of Thumb
CURRENT Field in the direction of Other Fingers
. Current comes out from the Palm
FORCE

CURRENT
Left hand rule should be memorised.
Keeping fingers perpendicular and turning the hand in directions of
Magnetic Field and Current is pretty hard.
Left palm rule is very convenient to use.

Fleming’s Right Hand Rule
This rule is applied to find the direction of the Current
when a conductor moves in a magnetic field.
Right hand Rule Right Palm Rule
FORCE
.
FIELD CURRENT
Just like left palm rule Right Palm rule is Handy
