Fleming’s Left hand Rule and Right hand Rule


Fleming’s Left Hand Rule
This rule is applied to find the direction of the Force
(Motion) on a current carrying conductor in a
magnetic field.
Thumb, Index Finger and Middle Finger are kept
Perpendicular to each other.

 Left hand rule should be memorised.


 Keeping fingers perpendicular and turning the hand in directions of
Magnetic Field and Current is pretty hard.
 Left palm rule is very convenient to use.

Fleming’s Right Hand Rule
This rule is applied to find the direction of the Current
when a conductor moves in a magnetic field.
