Machine Design Project-I
Designing of Unfired Pressure Vessel
Pressure vessels – Tanks, vessel and pipelines that
carry, store or receive fluids.
A pressure vessel is defined as a container with a
pressure differential between inside and outside.
Pressure vessel used in industry are leak-tight
pressure containers, usually cylindrical or spherical
in shape, with different head configurations. They
are usually made from carbon or stainless steel and
assembled by welding.
