THE CANTEBURY TALES BY GOFFREY CHAUSER
A REACTION PAPER
The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer is an enticing literary work that containsmany
historical contexts and themes that exemplifies such content of sophistication. Despite itsstructure
that follows a frame narrative, its format is catching enough to those who have read orwatched his
work.

I was allured by the variation of emotions that you would feel with this literary work.
Thestory is written about the pilgrimage of diverse collection of people together, but I noticed
that itdidn’t focus on the pilgrimage itself, but on the tales that each
pilgrim told. It was very excitinggiven the fact that a variety of themes and morals were
illustrated as each pilgrim told their tales. It was also very thrilling that it wasn’t written
linearly like most stories are, but this wasdifferent. Some tales told were funny, some were
serious, intriguinging, and exiciting.
