INTRODUCTION QSO, 1984 repealed Law of Evidence 1872 and was made according to Islam. The purpose of QSO is to bring the all laws of evidence in conformity with the Sharia as laid down in the Holy Quran and Sunnah, evident in preamble of the QSO. It governs the law related with evidence in all law courts of Pakistan. (Quasi-judicial refers proceedings conducted by an administrative or executive official or organization that is similar to a court proceeding, e.g. a hearing conducted by a human rights commission. A court may review a decision arising from a quasi-judicial proceeding) QSO is no applied to Arbitration Act. Who can give the testimony and what number of witnesses are required in different transactions. Types of evidences i.e. Oral, Documentary etc. QSO is divided in total 3 parts (Total chapters 13 and articles 166). Article 2 Definitions
2(1)(a) Court: Which is enabled to record evidence.
(b) Document: Anything on which some marks, letters are expressed and can be produced as Evidence. (c) Evidence: (i) Oral evidence by witnesses and (ii) Documentary by Documents. (d) Facts: (i) perceived by 5 senses (ii)any mental condition od which any person is conscious { something saw, said certain words are examples of fact.
