get the average
and make your
readings more
accurate and
have less
uncertainty

ruler, you could
mention - use a
vernier caliper
to increase
accuracy and to
lower the
uncertainty
A Mirror Scale
used to align
the eye

eliminating
parallax

Using a clamp

better than
