God blesses those who are poor and realize

their need for Him, for the Kingdom of

Heaven is theirs. God blesses those who
mourn, for they will be comforted. God
blesses those who are humble, for they will
inherit the whole earth.

Matthew 5: 3-11
God blesses you when people mock you
and persecute you and lie about you and
say all sorts of evil things against you
because you are my followers. Be happy
about it! Be very glad! For a great reward
awaits you in Heaven.

Matthew 5: 11-12
Comfort: Life in the kingdom
of God brings comfort in the
midst of trials
Father, if you are willing, take this cup
from me; yet not my will, but yours be
done.” An angel from heaven appeared
to him and strengthened him.

Luke 22:42-43
Come to me, all you who are weary and
burdened, and I will give you rest. Take
my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am gentle and humble in heart, and
you will find rest for your souls. For my
yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Matthew 11:28-30
Confront: The values of God’s
kingdom are radically different
from the values of our culture
Values are ideas about what is right and
wrong, desirable and undesirable, normal
and abnormal, proper and improper.
Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is
rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I
tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through
the eye of a needle than for someone who is
rich to enter the kingdom of God.

Matthew 19:24
Not looking to your own
interests but each of you to the
interests of the others

Philippians 2:4
Commission: In the Kingdom of God,
the last become first, the least become
most, and the lost are found
For the kingdom of heaven is like the
landowner who went out early one morning
to hire workers for his vineyard. He agreed
to pay the normal daily wage and sent them
out to work

Matthew 20:1-16
What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep,
and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the
ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one
that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you,
he is happier about that one sheep than about the
ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way
your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these
little ones should perish.
