Part B. Plot Summary

Hailey and Claire are best friends. They both like Raymond , who is a
lifeguard ( 救 生 员 ) in their small beach town. After a stormy night, Claire
accidentally ( 意 外 地 ) falls into the swimming pool and meets a mermaid
named Aquamarine . Aquamarine tells the girls that she needs to prove
( 证 明 ) to her father that true love exists ( 存 在 ). She also tells them if you
help a mermaid, you get a wish.
