What is Music?
● Music is the art of arranging audible sounds
and vibrations to produce a musical
composition using the elements of melody,
harmony, rhythm, and timbre. Music can
use the human voice, instruments, or both.
Music is an art form that is culturally
universal and present in all human
societies across the world.
Contemporary Philippine music is a vibrant
and diverse mix of traditional and modern
genres, including folk music, pop, rock, hip-
hop, and electronic dance music. Filipino
musicians are known for their distinctive
vocal style and their ability to blend different
musical influences to create unique and
innovative sounds.

The song "Ikaw At Ako” is a romantic love song about a couple who
have finally found their happily-ever-after. The lyrics describe how
the couple once believed that their wish to be together would
eventually come true, and now that it has, they are overwhelmed
with joy and love. They promise each other to always be there for
one another, no matter what and that their love will last forever.
The song emphasizes how the couple will always trust, respect,
and stand beside each other.

Hey Joe Show. Co-written by Jude Gitamondoc and
Therese Villarante, the Bisaya track talks about
dedicating the song to a "morena girl" that the
speaker admires

by supporting Bisaya artists.

A song that Maan Chua wrote in 2009. talks about
knowing ourselves by knowing our roots and
keeping our feet on the ground while raising our
hands in praise and thanksgiving for the wisdom of
the past, abundance of the present and blessings of
the future.
