Introduction to Automation

 When we use a software to test another software we can more or less imagine that as
Automation testing i.e. using the capabilities of one software to verify the working of
another software.
 It is a testing technique which uses special automated tools to execute test cases without
human intervention or monitoring.
 Manual Testing is performed by a human carefully executing the test steps on a computer
to compare actual and expected results.
 The above can be achieved by writing test scripts or using any automation testing tool. Test
automation is used to automate repetitive tasks or any other tasks which are tedious to
perform manually.
 Automation testing can be run at any time of the day as it does not need monitoring. It uses
scripted sequences to examine the application under test.
