binti Anas/ and my name is/ Nurin Aisha binti
Ahmad Firdaus./ Today, /we’re exceedingly
proud/ to recite a poem./ The title of the poem/
is My First Memorable Experience/ of Camping.
It has been written /by our teachers.
Been ages/ I have longed /for a
camping trip,
To harmonize/ with the
sounds /of mother nature..
Melodious birdsongs,/
chirping crickets,/
squeaking squirrels/
And even/ the buzzing bees..
As I walk/ through the woods,/
The trees/ stand tall,
Ready/ to greet us,/
the ~wind~ blowing…
And the ~long~ ~green~~ grass/
dancing/ and waving at us,/
So breezy/ and fresh/.
To see/ the river/ ~flows~
freely,
To enjoy/ the sounds of its
babbles…/
Aaah/ how calming/ and
relaxing…/
Such an endless/ tranquility/
I have been longing,/
To spend my night/ in a
tent,/
In a sleeping sack/
with a lantern/ beside
me…./
I have been wanting,/
To sit ~around~ a campfire~,
With a maple stick,/
Roasting marshmallows,/
Singing/ our favourite songs../
Telling/ ~spooky~ stories..
And/ we will play…
our all time/ favourite
games..
Of truth/ and dare,
Charades/ and heads up
And even /treasure hunt
How exciting and thrilling/
Theres going to be /a lot of
~fun~,
full of laughters/ and giggles,
The best joy/ of ~all~ joys
with family/ and friends
around/
Bringing us all/ closer
together
Been ages/ I have
~longed~/ for a camping
trip,
Watching the sky,
Stargazing…
Hoping/ for a shooting star,
As I ~lie~/ on the grass.
A very close rendesvous
/with the nature,
Cracking sounds/ of the
woods,
Jarring noise/ of the
mosquitoes,
Catching /fireflies….
I would ~love~ to gather
firewoods,
Burn them up,
Into a roaring fire,
Brightening the forest…
The ~dark~ night.
I am going /to bring a rod,
Cast it/ into the river/ for some
fish,
Catch ~them~,
Wash ~them~,
Grill ~them~
And eat them up
~And~/ it was a ‘dream come
true’…
Here/ I am/ on my ~little~
adventure,
My very first time/ on a
camping ground.
