change
Introduction

 Organizational Change looks both at the process in which a company or any organization
changes its operational methods, technologies, organizational structure, whole structure,
or strategies, as well as what effects these changes have on it. Organizational change
usually happens in response to or as a result of external or internal pressures. It is all
about reviewing and modifying structures specifically management structures and
business processes.
Importance of change management

 The Proactiveness of organizations in dealing with change will determine whether or not a
company is able to adopt a new process or system. Therefore, for companies, change
management helps to speed up transformation and, as a result, to make this ability a
hallmark for the future. Change helps by any organization to do following point;

Clarify what is changing and why
2:Plan change
Design plans for communications and training.
Forces favoring change

 a. External forces for change which include: The highly competitive market place in the
private and public sectors of economy. And the Advancement of Technology etc.
Therefore, there are many external forces bombarding the modern organization, which make
change inevitable.
The most external factors that influence organizational change are:

3. Economics
4. technology
Enviromental change

 Today‟s organizations operate in an environment which is continually changing. The


ability to adapt to changes in the environment has become a fundamental condition of
success and survival in business. Today the processes of change concern all aspects of
human and social life, both nationally and internationally.
 Often managers are totally perplexed when they realize that their organization can be
affected by forces economic, social or political which they would previously never
considered when making business decisions.
