CONFIGURING WIRELESS ROUTER


ROUTER

•A router is a device that connects


two or more packet-switched
networks or subnetworks. It
serves two primary functions:
managing traffic between these
networks by forwarding data
packets to their intended IP
addresses, and allowing multiple
devices to use the same Internet
connection.
Steps:
-Turn-on the router
-Open the internet icon
-Choose the router model
-Uncheck “connect automatically” then
Click Connect
-Enter Password/PIN ( 21969065)

To access router’s settings

-Launch browser
-Check for Default Access
ex: http://tplinklogin.net
-Sign in
Username admin
Password admin
SERVICE SET IDENTIFIER

A service set identifier (SSID) is a sequence of


characters that uniquely names a Wi-Fi network.
An SSID is sometimes referred to as a network
name. This name allows stations to connect to the
desired network when multiple independent
networks operate in the same physical area.
WPA2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access 2)

WPA2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access 2) is an encrypted


security protocol that protects internet traffic on
wireless networks. The second-generation of the
Wi-Fi Protected Access security protocol, WPA2
addresses earlier flaws and offers more powerful
encryption.
