Golden ratio in Art by Leonardo Da

Rennaisance Vinci
Golden ratio in Art by
Renaissance The Golden Ratio has many other names.

You might hear it referred to as the Golden

Section, Golden Proportion, Golden
Mean, phi ratio, Sacred Cut, or Divine
Proportion. They all mean the same thing.

The Golden Ratio is a term used to describe

how elements within a piece of art can be
placed in the most aesthetically pleasing
way. However, it is not merely a term, it is
an actual ratio and it can be found in many
pieces of art.
Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci was an
Italian polymath of the High Renaissance who
Leonardo Da
was active as a painter, draughtsman, engineer,
scientist, theorist, sculptor, and architect. Vinci
While his fame initially rested on his
achievements as a painter, he also became
known for his notebooks, in which he made
drawings and notes on a variety of subjects,
including anatomy, astronomy, botany,
cartography, painting, and paleontology.

Leonardo is widely regarded to have been

a genius who epitomized the Renaissance
humanist ideal, and his collective
works compose a contribution to later
generations of artists matched only by that of
his younger contemporary, Michelangelo.
