DAY IS CELEBRATED NOVEMBER 23, THIS DAY PEOPLE TRADITIONALLY GIVE
THANKS FOR FOOD, HOME AND MANY OTHER THINGS.
THANKSGIVING DAY

It is celebrated on November 23, which is why President Abraham Lincoln (1861-1865)


established the holiday to commemorate the Thanksgiving celebration carried out by British
colonists who arrived in the country aboard the 'Mayflower' in 1620. They wanted to thank
God for their good harvest after a harsh winter.
