The Spanish conquest of the Aztec

Empire, also known as the Conquest
of Mexico, the Spanish-Aztec
War (1519–1521),or the Conquest of
Tenochtitlan was one of the primary
events in the
Spanish colonization of the Americas
. There are multiple 16th-century
narratives of the events by Spanish
conquistadors, their indigenous
allies, and the defeated Aztecs.
What happened in the
Spanish conquest
Between 1519 and 1521 Hernán Cortés and
a small band of men brought down the Aztec
empire in Mexico, and between 1532 and
1533 Francisco Pizarro and his followers
toppled the Inca empire in Peru. These
conquests laid the foundations for colonial
regimes that would transform the Americas.
OUTPOST EMPIRE

Phrase outpost of Empire (by 1895)

"remotest territory of an empire" in later use
often echoes Kipling: There he shall blaze a
nation's ways with hatchet and with brand,
Till on his last-won wilderness an Empire's
outposts stand

Age of Empires IV. It possesses
extensive Line of Sight. The Russ have
the Wooden Fortress instead of the
Outpost, and the Malians instead have
the Toll Outpost. Unlike the Town
