 1. What’s UET?
- The VNU University of Engineering and Technology (VNU-UET) –
known to the international community under the name The College
of Technology (Coltech) – was founded on May 25, 2004 as a
member university of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU). Its
tradition, however, roots back to the establishment of its
predecessor, the Faculty of Technology on October 18, 1999.

- With the key training industry is information technology, the
school is the leading unit in research, innovation of learning
methods, applying many technologies in the teaching process.

- Modern facilities, practice rooms, experiments are fully

equipped to help students both learn theory and practice.

- "Learning with practice" is the training motto that the school

always aims to help you have sufficient skills and knowledge to
be applied to real life.
 3. Archivement
• Regarding training, in the period of 2004 up to now, the school has continuously developed
the factors to ensure and improve the quality of training. The program system is regularly
updated, supplemented and upgraded to reference to advanced programs in the world, the
training structure has been gradually completed. From 2009 to now, the school has
implemented a comprehensive application of credit training mode to replace the year -old
training. UET continues to maintain and organize the effective implementation of training
programs, so far the school organizes 35 training programs, including 17 university training
programs, 10 master's degree programs and 08 doctoral training programs. From 2015 to
now, the school has proposed and implemented 6 new training programs (5 university levels,
1 master's degree), including 02 high quality training programs under Circular 23 with the
premise from The strategic mission program achieved international qualifications of VNU.
The quality of training has been raised, the graduation rate reaches over 96%, of which the
percentage of graduates on time reaches an average of 70%.
• Admission to college, postgraduate is concerned, the university admission
score of the UET is always high and stable in the group of leading schools of
the country, the scale of enrollment is great. Reasonable learning, 2004: 470
targets; 2014: 700 targets; 2017: 1,120 targets; 2020: 1,450 targets. The UET
is also a reliable address assigned by the Ministry of Education and Training
to perform the task of training and fostering the Vietnamese students team to
take part in the International Informatics Olympiad since 2011. Students of the
UET have won high prizes for many years. ACM, Procon, Imagine Cup,
Informatics Olympiad, Mathematics, Physics, ..., achieved many chiefs such
as Honda Yes,... Especially, in 2018, the Unosigned team - is the
representative team of Vietnam Participating in the global final round of the
global international student programming exam ACM/ICPC has reached the
15th rank (the highest ranking of the Vietnamese teams ever). At the same
time, the UET is the first school of Vietnam to achieve five consecutive five
consecutive achievements (2015-2019) with a team in the global final round
of the International Student Programming exam ACM/ICPC.
