1. Introduction
i. Activity objective
• This drive test gives a general overview about 4G-LTE network coverage
status in Kigali and other provinces around the country.
• Displays also end to end quality of service from subscriber point of view.
3
ii. Measurement set up
• List of measurement tools and set up used to collect data
Tools/ equipment
• All phones used to collect data run TEMS Pocket as
measurement tool.
List of test cases
Test Cases Remark
Test Case 1, Tigo CSFB 2 x Sony Xperia Z5, one for MT and one for MO
Test Case 2, MTN CSFB 2 x X-Performance, one for MT and one for MO
Test Case 3, 4G-LTE Data 1 x X-Performance for DL data
Test case 4, 4G-LTE Idle 1 x X-Performance for signal coverage
Test Case 5, Latency 1 x X-Performance for RTT latency measurement
KTRN bandwidth

Bandwidth 20MHz 4
2. Drive test area
• Routes of drive test routes both in Kigali city and provinces
• Districts offices are marked on the map as test hotspots around the country

3. Drive test measurements (Outside Kigali)
i. Summary of Measurement area range
• On outside Kigali, only major country roads have
been driven.
• The table shows an approximate drive test duration
and distance covered.
• Tested was only 4G-LTE technology country wide.
