3) CPEC: Salient Renewable Energy Projects
 China's Zonergy to construct world's largest solar power plant, the 6,500
acre Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park, near Bahawalpur with capacity of 900MW
at cost of US$1.35bn. First 100MW commissioned.

 SK Hydro Consortium to construct 870 MW hydroelectric power plant in


Kaghan Valley of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province at cost of
US$1.8bn.

 US$2.4bn, 1,100 MW Kohala Hydropower Project being constructed by


China's Three Gorges Corporation was initiated before announcement of
CPEC.

 UEP Wind Power Plant, built by United Energy Pakistan and Hydro China
is expected to produce 100MW in Jhimpir, Sind at cost of US$250mn.
