INTELIGENCIA

ARTIFICIAL

Evelin Quispe
DEFINITION!
● Artificial intelligence (AI) is a field of computer science
study that seeks to create systems and programs capable
of performing tasks that require human intelligence.
These systems have the capacity to learn, reason,
perceive and make decisions.

● AI is divided into two main categories: weak or narrow

AI and strong or general AI. Weak AI is designed to
perform specific tasks, such as voice recognition, movie
recommendation, or autonomous driving. Strong AI, on
the other hand, has the ability to match or surpass human
intelligence in any cognitive task.

APPROACHES AND
TECHNIQUES USED IN AI!
There are different approaches and techniques used in AI,
including:
1. Machine Learning:
● This technique is based on training
systems so that they can recognize patterns and make
decisions using algorithms and historical data.
2. ARTIFICIAL
NEURAL
NETWORKS:
They are based on mathematical
models inspired by the
functioning of the human brain
to imitate its learning and
pattern recognition capacity.
3. Natural ● Focuses on allowing machines
to understand, interpret and

language generate text or human

language in a similar way as a
human being would.
processing
(NLP):
4. COMPUTER
VISION:
Is concerned with
developing systems that can
analyze and understand
images and videos, such as
facial recognition or object
detection.
5. ROBOTICS:
Combines AI with robot
engineering to develop systems
that can physically interact with
the environment and perform
complex tasks.
AI has many applications
today, such as virtual
assistants, recommendation
algorithms, voice
recognition, chatbots,
medicine, autonomous
driving, among others.
However, it also raises
ethical and social challenges,
such as privacy, job
displacement, and
accountability for decisions
made by autonomous
systems.
In summary, AI is a constantly
growing field of study that
seeks to develop systems
capable of simulating or
surpassing human
intelligence in specific
tasks, using techniques
such as machine learning,
artificial neural networks,
natural language
processing and vision.

“The three laws of robotics:
1 -A robot will not harm a human being or, through inaction, allow
a human being to come to harm.
2 -A robot must comply with the orders given by human beings,
except for those that conflict with the first law.
3 – A robot must protect its own existence to the extent that this
protection does not conflict with the first or second law.
The Zeroth Law: A robot cannot harm humanity or, through
inaction, allow humanity to come to harm.”
