Apa itu Tuberkulosis
(TB)?
Tuberkulosis (TB)

• TB adalah penyakit yang menyebar dari orang ke orang

melalui udara.
• TB adalah penyakit yang disebabkan oleh bakteri yang disebut
Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Bakteri TB biasanya menyerang
paru, akan tetapi bisa juga menyerang organ lain.
• Pulmonary TB adalah TB yang menyerang paru.
• Extrapulmonary TB adalah TB yang letaknya selain di paru, seperti
ginjal, tulang dan otak.

• TIDAK SEMUA ORANG YANG TERINVEKSI

MENJADI SAKIT.

Gejala TB
Infeksi TB Laten
• Tidak merasa sakit, tidak bergejala, tidak bisa menularkan.
• Bisa terjadi bertahun-tahun.
• Punya bakteri TB dalam jumlah kecil di darah, tetapi bakteri tersebut
tidak aktif.
• Bisa berkembang menjadi TB aktif.

TB Aktif
• Jika bakteri TB menjadi aktif dan berkembang biak, Infeksi TB
Latent bisa berubah menjadi TB aktif.

Tuberculosis (TB) Disease: Only the Tip
of the Iceburg

There are two types of TB conditions: latent TB infection and TB disease.

People with TB disease are sick from active TB germs. They usually have
symptoms and may spread TB germs to others.
People with latent TB infection do not feel sick, do not have symptoms, and cannot
spread TB germs to others.
But, if their TB germs become active, they can develop TB disease.
Millions of people in the U.S. have latent TB infection Without treatment, they are
at risk for developing TB disease.

• TB disease is a serious condition and can lead to death if

not treated.

• TB disease can almost always be treated and cured with medicine.

• A person with TB disease typically requires the following:

X-rays 180 days of medicine

Lab tests Follow up and testing of close contacts

• Orang dengan kontak dengan orang yang terinfeksi TB aktif
• Orang yang sering ke lokasi rawan TB seperti lingkungan sempit,
kumuh dan kurang ventilasi
