POWERS OF A TRUSTEE
1) General authority of a trustee
2) Power to sell [S.37]
3) Power to vary Investments [S.40]
4) Power to give receipts [S.42]
5) Power to apply for minor’s trust
property for their maintenance [S.41]
6) Power to sue and be sued
CONCLUSION

• Rights and powers are not absolute and are subject to
certain limitations and conditions,
• Must always act in good faith, in the best interests of
the beneficiaries and must not use his/her powers for
personal gain.
