GTI’s GOALS
The Feed the Future Ghana Trade and Investment Activity (GTI) is a five-year program that seeks to
diversify exports and improve revenue collection to boost national GDP and household income for
Ghanaian citizens.

GTI has two focus areas and zones of Nationwide technical assistance in accelerated
implementation: trade, include:
o Nationwide technical assistance in o Facilitating growth in export-oriented trade
accelerated trade o Improving and developing product standards
o Technical assistance in selected value o Catalysing investments in private enterprises
chains to 17 districts in Northern Ghana related to high-value commercial crops
o Promoting job creation, particularly among
women and youth
o Promoting economic diversification; and
o Increasing foreign exchange revenues from high-
value export crops.

VALUE CHAINS
GTI’s OBJECTIVES
GTI partners with public and private sector actors to achieve the five (5) objectives, stated below.

Objective A Improve and enforce quality standards in domestic value chains

Objective B Reduce time and cost of moving goods across borders

Objective C Increase Investment, especially among SMEs

Objective D Develop distinct and innovative ideas for additional programmatic interventions

Objective E Scale up programmatic interventions and increase firm level interventions

The Work Plan for Objective D & E, which seeks to expand and accelerate two-way trade and investment
between Africa and the United States, will be finalized end July 2022.

ANNUAL PROGRAM
STATEMENT (APS)
• Ghana Trade and Investment (GTI) activity is
launching an Annual Program Statement (APS)
to Call for Traceability Partnerships.

• An APS is used to solicit grant applications


for creative approaches, or to foster the
development of non-governmental centred
methodologies. ​

• The APS amount issued min = $2,500.00,


max = $ 20,000 (co-funding; cash or in- kind).

ANNUAL PROGRAM STATEMENT (APS)

ROADSHOW
• GTI will organize virtual and in-person
Roadshows to orient prospective awardees
about the APS.

• In-person APS Roadshows will be organized in


Kumasi, Takoradi, Sunyani, and Tamale.

• The month-long Roadshow will also comprise


radio discussions, radio announcements,
newspaper ads, and e-newsletters.
