Have you ever wondered
why in the beginning God
said to Adam and Eve that
they “fill the earth”
(Genesis 1:28) or be
scattered throughout the
planet?
And God was serious about
it. When the builders of
Tower Babel tried to
centralize in one place, the
Lord confused their
language and “scattered
them from there over all the
earth (Genesis 11:8).
“…This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the
whole world…” (Matthew 24:14).
So what can be the other
reason(s) why the Lord
wanted the earth’s early
inhabitants to scatter
throughout the planet?
Three levels of Christ’s social activities on earth
With the
Alone with God. “And He withdrew disciples. “He
himself into the wilderness, and prayed” was explaining
(Luke 5:16) everything
privately to His
disciples” (Mark
4:34).

With the
multitudes. “The
multitude pressed
upon Him and
heard the word of
God”(Luke 5:1).
So other than the proclaiming of the gospel to the few
inhabitants of the world, the other reasons for “scattering,” as
portrayed in the social interaction of Jesus, were to give them
opportunity to have personal communion with God in prayer
and to give instructions privately to their families.
