This entails a counselor’s deliberate gesture of
encouraging and appropriately allowing client’s
personal freedom to have option, make choices of
action, make decision and act on their values. It means
that healing or any advice cannot imposed on a client

This means having the best interest of the


counselee to and being accountable to clients,
to professional body, and to the government
discharging professional care and ensuring that
the caring does not result in harmful results

Counselors are to be fully trusted by their


clients and that calls maintaining high level of
personal integrity, honest and trust worthy
Social justice
This requires a counselor to work with an
understanding that most client are impacted by
various social injustices and the counselor must
have the willingness to navigate a possible
strategies and responses to address and rectify
those issues and situations
