Introduction to Table
Tennis
Table Tennis rules state that players have to use
paddles made of at least 85% natural wood. The
ball must be 40 mm in diameter and weigh 2.7 g.
The table must be 2.74 m long, 1.525 m wide,
and 0.76 m high.

To play table tennis, you need a
paddle, a table, and a ball. The paddle
should be made of wood and rubber.

Basic Rules of the Game

before serving.

A point is awarded to a player when their opponent


fails to return the ball, hits the ball out, hits the net
or touches the table with their free hand.

Penalties are given for service faults,


failure to make a good service,
touching the playing surface with your
free hand, and more. Be mindful of
these rules to avoid losing points.
