INTRODUCTION
• The vision of this organization is to give support to each individual in order to be able to enjoy all the benefits
and rights that are provided with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

• Amnesty International characteristic is that it works with and for the people through their organizing
campaign to protect and promote human rights.

• The organization focuses on human rights abuses and campaigns for their protection. Amnesty International
won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1977 for its work (against torture), and in 1978 it was recognized by the UN for
its commitment to human rights.

• Its members hold that the protection of violations of human rights is in the best interests of everyone on the
planet. Thus, they try to improve people's lives by beginning with the lawlessness and violations of human
rights and being motivated by hope for a brighter future.
