● This comes either in large books or pocket books.


● It contains definitions of words, guides for proper
pronunciation, and different ways to use words.
● Words are listed alphabetically, and every page contains
guide words.

● This is a reference book of words and their synonyms,


antonyms, and related words.
● This is also arranged in alphabetical order and uses guide
words.
● Its main purpose is to distinguish related words and help
you choose the most appropriate word according to your
intention.

● This provides general or specialized information on a


particular subject.
● This is also arranged in alphabetical order and uses guide

Online Resources

● These can be found from the Internet.


● These consist of online dictionaries, e-books, educational
websites, and videos.
● These require you to be extra careful because anyone
can write anything in the Internet.
● You have to check for the credibility and validity of the
information and the source.

1. Who is the writer of the material? Is he or she an expert


about the subject?
2. When was this material published?
3. Where was it published?
