Going to is not a tense.


It is a special expression
to talk about the future.
• It is used with expressions
such as:
• - tomorrow
• - tonight
• - next week/month/year
• - in a few hours/days
• - by next week, etc.
•Structure of Going to

•The structure is:

subject + be (am-is-are) +
going to + verb (infinitive)
EXAMPLES
• I am going to sing at the party.

• She is going to sing at the party.


• He is going to sing at the party. Singular
• It is going to rain.

• You are going to sing at the party.


• We are going to sing at the party. Plural
• They are going to sing at the party.
Negative sentences structure of

• THE STRUCTURE IS:
