INSTRUCTIONS
1. Get your whiteboard and marker for you to write your
answer. If you don’t have it yet, please get a notebook
and a pen instead.
2. Answer directly the Morris Rosenberg’s Self Esteem
Scale posted by your teacher.
3. Evaluate yourself according to the statements with
these ratings: SA – Strongly Agree, A – Agree, D-
Disagree, SD - Strongly Disagree
4. Wait for further instructions on how to tabulate your
score.
5. You will be given 5 minutes to answer the scale.

self –esteem is good.
If you scored below 15, it
suggests that you have low self
esteem and should there work on
it harder.
TALENT VS. ABILITY
Talent Ability

 Talent is a special ability  Ability is having natural

weaknesses. Enhancing your abilities, talents, and skills
is very important to gain self- confidence. This value is
about balance.
If you are under – confident, you’ll avoid taking risks and
stretching yourself; and you might not try at all.
And if you are overconfident, you may take on too much
risk, stretch yourself beyond capabilities, and crash
badly.
FUNDAMENTAL SKILLS TO
BOOST SELF -CONFIDENCE
READING
 Reading is looking and understanding the meaning of
letters, words, and symbols, that are found in any printed
or written materials such as books, texts, documents,
dictionaries, and other reading materials.
 This skill enables you to interpret, understand, and
analyze thoughts and ideas, found in the printed or
written texts.
WRITING
 Writing is forming letters or number on a surface with a
pen or pencil. It communicates thought, ideas,
information, and messages through writing.
 This skill makes you compose and create poems, stories,
and other literary works.
ARITHMETIC
 Arithmetic is the act or process of calculating numbers.
It is performing basic computations using basic
numerical concepts, such as whole numbers and
percentages, in practical situation.
 This skill enables you to use different formulas in
solving, and analyze charts, tables and graphs.
SPEAKING
 It is saying words to communicate verbally the ideas,
feelings, and opinions to someone.
 This skill enables you to participate in conversations,
debates, discussions, and group presentations.
LISTENING
 It is learning what someone is saying, singing, or
playing.
 This skill enables you to participate you to understand
the message being imparted by the speaker.
CREATIVE THINKING SKILLS
 It is combining ideas or information in new ways and
making connections between different concepts to
explore new possibilities.
DECISION-MAKING SKILLS
 It involves choosing specific goals that you are capable
of doing. It requires you to choose from alternatives,
consider risks, evaluate, and choose the best option.
PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS
 It is applied when you recognize that a problem exists
and identify possible reasons for the situation and create
or apply a plan of action to resolve these.

ASSIGNMENT
 Create a slogan poster that will cater the theme on how
to develop one’s talent which will highlight all the skills
being discussed. You need to draw your slogan poster in
a long bond paper.

Neatness – 5
Total: 25 points
