inside, smooth surface, sympodial branching (main stem is not
clearly visible), the direction of the branch tilts upward. The
cross section of the trunk is shaped close to an obtuse triangle.
The skin and leaves are slimy and smells bad.
research about the plant
In the study of chemical components of wungu leaves, steroids, alkaloids, and tannins were
found. In addition, the leaves of this plant contain non-toxic alkaloids, glycosides, steroids,
saponins, tannins, chlorophyll, and mucus. Wungu leaf stems contain calcium oxalate,
formic acid and fat. Parts used include leaves, bark and flowers. The leaves are efficacious
for dealing with hemorrhoids (hemorrhoids) and constipation (constipation), the flowers are
for dealing with irregular menstruation. Purple leaf plants contain chemical compounds,
among others. Non-toxic alkaloids, flavonoids, glycosides, steroids, saponins, tannins,
calcium oxalate, formic acid and fats. With a variety of chemical content, purple leaves have
anti-inflammatory properties, anti-plaque teeth, and prevent pain during menopause. laxative
urine (diuretic), accelerate the cooking of ulcers, mild laxatives (laxatives), and skin
softeners (emollients).
HOW TO CONSUME AND PHARMACOLOGICAL EFFECTS

The efficacy of purple leaves as an anti-hemorrhoid itself is proven by:

Prof dr H Sardjono Oerip Santoso from Pharmacology FKUI. A total of 9-10

grams of fresh purple leaves are then boiled in 2 cups of water (600 cc) to
1 become 1 cup of stew and drunk once a day. Five days later, the effects
caused by hemorrhoid symptoms such as pain, bleeding, and heat
disappeared without a trace.

Dr. JM Sugiarto provides evidence, Consumption of 1 cup of boiled purple

leaves for two consecutive months can actually free the patient from
2 hemorrhoids. Thanks to the purple leaves, people with hemorrhoids no longer
need to take phlebodynamic drugs such as radium and daflon. The drug is
commonly prescribed by doctors to improve blood circulation in the anal area
and eliminate swelling, bulges, and bleeding.
