What Is Conjuctivitis?
• Also known as pink eye
• An inflammation or infection
at the conjunctiva (mucous
membrane that lines the inside
of the eyelids).
• Inflamed small blood vessels in
conjunctiva cause the whites
part of eye turn reddish or
pink

How DR Diagnosed
Conjunctivitis
• Medical history
- Detecting whether the patient had any allergic, or irritant to
anything contact with eye or having close contact with other
people with conjunctivitis.
• Slit Lamp Exam
- Dr shines light beam into eye to examine entire eye.
• Visual Acuity Tests
-conducting a vision test to patient if it may be affected the
vision
• Eye culture
- sample of cells inside of eyelids being send to laboratory to
determine it caused by viruses or bacteria
