The greenhouse effect is a natural process that warms the Earth's surface. However, human activities, such as
the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation, have intensified this effect by increasing the concentration of
greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. This enhanced greenhouse effect is a significant
driver of global warming, leading to rising temperatures and associated climate change impacts. Mitigating
the greenhouse effect by reducing greenhouse gas emissions is crucial in addressing global warming and its
consequences.
GREEN HOUSE EFFECT ON CLIMATE CHANGE
Human activities, such as burning fossil fuels and deforestation, have significantly increased the
concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. This enhanced greenhouse effect
intensifies global warming and leads to climate change. The consequences include rising
temperatures, more frequent and severe weather events, sea-level rise, and disruptions to
ecosystem.
Efforts to mitigate climate change involve reducing greenhouse gas emissions, transitioning to
cleaner energy sources, and implementing policies to limit global warming.
HOW REDUCE GREEN HOUSE
EFFECT
1. Use Renewable Energy: Transition to renewable energy sources like solar, wind, and hydropower to
reduce reliance on fossil fuels, which emit greenhouse gases.
2. Transportation: Choose eco-friendly transportation options like carpooling, biking, walking, or using
electric vehicles. Public transportation and carpooling can reduce emissions significantly.
3. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Reduce waste and the energy used for production by practicing the three :
reduce consumption, reuse items, and recycle materials whenever possible
4. Forest Conservation: Support reforestation efforts and protect existing forests. Trees absorb CO2 and
help mitigate the greenhouse effect.
5. Carbon Offsets : Consider purchasing carbon offsets to compensate for your carbon footprint. These
investments can fund projects that reduce emissions elsewhere.
