Scripture Reading: Psalms 139:23-24 KJB

“Search me, O God, and know my

heart: try me, and know my
thoughts:”
– Psalms 139:23 KJB
Scripture Reading: Psalms 139:23-24 KJB

“And see if there be any wicked

way in me, and lead me in the
way everlasting.”
– Psalms 139:24 KJB
Revelation 14:6-12 KJB
Seventh-day Adventists preach:
“And I saw another angel fly in the
midst of heaven, having the
everlasting gospel to preach unto
them that dwell on the earth,
and to every nation, and kindred,
and tongue, and people,”
– Revelation 14:6 KJB
Seventh-day Adventists preach:

“Saying with a loud voice, Fear

God, and give glory to him; for
the hour of his judgment is
come: and worship him that
made heaven, and earth, and the
sea, and the fountains of
waters.” – Revelation 14:7 KJB
Notice, in Revelation 14:6-7 KJB
While “the everlasting gospel” is
being preached unto “every
nation, and kindred, and tongue,
and people”; it is at this same
time that “the hour of [God’s]
judgment is come” for all who
have ever professed to believe on
the Son of God, Jesus Christ…
The “hour” of His (God’s) Judgment:

… beginning with those who have

fallen asleep in death since the
day of Abel unto the present day:
“And as it is appointed unto men
once to die, but after this the
judgment:” – Hebrews 9:27 KJB
The “hour” of His (God’s) Judgment:
… and will end with the judgment
of the professing living during
the time of their ‘trial’:
“… the hour of temptation, which
shall come upon all the world, to
try them that dwell upon the
earth.” – Revelation 3:10(b) KJB
The “hour” of His (God’s) Judgment:
… for it is at that time, that Satan will
throw all his hatred at those who
refuse to yield to him:
“And the ten horns which thou sawest
are ten kings, which have received no
kingdom as yet; but receive power as
kings one hour with the beast.”
– Revelation 17:12 KJB
God’s Judgment is taking place now???

Yes.
For the professing in God’s offer in His Son.
There are 3 basic groups, only two are involved
in this “judgment”:
[1.] the faithful professing, word and deed
[2.] the unfaithful professing, hypocrites, lip
service
[3.] the lost in general, not professing

This “judgment” taking place does not

involve itself with the lost in general or
those not professing, as those who do not
profess are already “condemned” (John
3:18 KJB).
Seventh-day Adventists
(such as Jesus is) are
continually mocked for
their conduct and
doctrine by a group of
religionists; and in
particular for the
doctrine known as the
“Investigative
Judgment”
Daniel 8:13-14,26;
Revelation 9:13-15,
14:6-7 KJB.
… while mankind mocked at and tested God in Jesus Christ …

… God was trying the hearts of mankind through Jesus …

… but is God really mocked?

“Be not deceived; God is not

mocked: for whatsoever a man
soweth, that shall he also reap.”
– Galatians 6:7 KJB
What does the Bible say about Judgment?

“God judgeth the righteous, and

God is angry with the wicked
every day.” – Psalms 7:11 KJB
What does the Bible say about Judgment?

“I said in mine heart, God shall

judge the righteous and the
wicked: for there is a time there
for every purpose and for every
work.” – Ecclesiastes 3:17 KJB
What does the Bible say about Judgment?

“Let us hear the conclusion of the

whole matter: Fear God, and
keep his commandments: for this
is the whole duty of man
(Hebrew: “‫”האדם׃‬, “häädäm”,
“the Adam” (mankind)).”
– Ecclesiastes 12:13 KJB
What does the Bible say about Judgment?

“For God shall bring every work

into judgment, with every secret
thing, whether it be good, or
whether it be evil.”
– Ecclesiastes 12:14 KJB
The “Investigative Judgment”

… throughout all the Bible, from Alpha to Omega in type…

In Genesis 2-3 KJB we read …

… of Eve (the woman) being deceived into

sin by the serpent (Satan), and Adam (the
man) following in sin by Eve. Then after
attempting to cover and hide their shame,
“they heard the voice of the LORD God
walking in the garden in the cool of the
day”, and so they hid themselves from
God, but God came seeking the lost. …
In Genesis 2-3 KJB we read …
“… the voice (Jesus, the Son) of the LORD
God (Father) …” then investigates,
inquiring and asking questions (Gen. 3:9-
19 KJB; not that God does not know, but it
is for the benefit of the angels (Gen. 3:24
KJB) and Adam/Eve and us), having
already warned man of the sentence for
sin (Gen. 2:17 KJB), gives judgment, yet
also hope while time lasts (Gen. 3:15 KJB).
In Genesis 2-3 KJB we read …

“And the LORD God called unto Adam,

and said unto him, Where art thou?”
– Genesis 3:9 KJB
“And he said, Who told thee that thou
wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree,
whereof I commanded thee that thou
shouldest not eat?” – Genesis 3:11 KJB
In Genesis 2-3 KJB we read …

“And the LORD God said unto the woman,

What is this that thou hast done? And the
woman said, The serpent beguiled me,
and I did eat.” – Genesis 3:13 KJB
In Genesis 4 KJB we read …

… of Cain and Abel, which both claimed to

worship God, and both brought an
offering unto God, yet one became a son
of that wicked one, satan, through doubt
in the promise of God (Gen. 3:15; Jud.
1:11 KJB), while the other was a loyal son
of God through faith (Heb. 11:4 KJB).
In Genesis 4 KJB we read …
When Abel was killed by Cain, God (Jesus)
came down and
asked/inquired/investigated of Cain:
“… And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is
Abel thy brother? …”
And afterward, when the heart of Cain
was revealed (Gen. 4:9; Mat. 12:34; Luk.
6:45 KJB), Cain was marked & he fled from
God’s presence (Gen. 4:10-12 KJB).
In Genesis 5 KJB we read …
… of Enoch, whom walking with God daily,
was found of God (Gen. 5:22-24 KJB) to be
faithful, and God took him up:
“By faith Enoch was translated that he
should not see death; and was not found,
because God had translated him: for
before his translation he had this
testimony, that he pleased God.”
– Hebrews 11:5 KJB
In Genesis 6-9 KJB we read …

… that the world was becoming more and

more wicked, and while many claimed to
follow God, they were already inter-
marrying with the children of Cain.
God looks upon the world in investigation,
before execution of Judgment by the
Flood.
In Genesis 6-9 KJB we read …
“And GOD saw that the wickedness of
man was great in the earth, and that
every imagination of the thoughts of his
heart was only evil continually.”
– Genesis 6:5 KJB
“And God looked upon the earth, and,
behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had
corrupted his way upon the earth.”
– Genesis 6:12 KJB
In Genesis 10-11 KJB we read …

… that the people again rebelled after the

flood, attempting to make a way to God in
a way differing than God specified.
God then personally came down to see,
look and investigate, before the execution
of Judgment in the separation of the
languages and scattering of the people (to
fulfill his word, Gen. 1:28 KJB).
In Genesis 10-11 KJB we read …

“And the LORD came down to see the city

and the tower, which the children of men
builded.” – Genesis 11:5 KJB
In Genesis 17-19 KJB we read …

... that God had delivered the people of

Lot and Sodom, and yet Sodom did not
truly repent, and went further in
rebellion, and God came down to
see/investigate/judge before execution of
Judgment.
In Genesis 17-19 KJB we read …
“And the LORD said, Because the cry of
Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and
because their sin is very grievous;”
– Genesis 18:20 KJB
“I will go down now, and see whether
they have done altogether according to
the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if
not, I will know.” – Genesis 18:21 KJB
In Exodus 16 - Numbers 15:32-36 KJB we read …

“And the LORD said unto Moses, How long

refuse ye to keep my commandments and
my laws?” – Exodus 16:28 KJB
… for God was investigating their hearts,
and in Numbers 15, there is a man caught
breaking the Sabbath, and is brought
inward into the tent of meeting before
God …
In Exodus 16 - Numbers 15:32-36 KJB we read …

“And they put him in ward, because it was

not declared what should be done to
him.” – Numbers 15:34 KJB
“And the LORD said unto Moses, The man
shall be surely put to death: all the
congregation shall stone him with stones
without the camp.” – Numbers 15:35 KJB
In Leviticus 16 & 23 KJB we read …
… that Israel, and all that claimed to follow
God, was to enter into the time of the
typical Day of Atonement, wherein the High
Priest bore into the Sanctuary, upon the
Breast plate of Judgment (Exo. 28:15,29-30
KJB) the symbol of the people, represented
by the stones. Anyone found not to be in
harmony with God, in true repentance, was
to be cut off (Lev. 23:29 KJB) at the end of
this service as identified by God.
In 1 Kings 3 KJB we read …

… Solomon (type of Jesus Christ, a son of

David) having an investigation between
two persons, which are women (a type of
Church, or religious body) over a dead
Child (Christ), and a living Child (Christ) to
see who really loved the Child.
In 1 Kings 3 KJB we read …
… Solomon hears the hearts of the two
‘mothers’ by their speaking and actions, and
thus closely investigates in a judgment setting
upon His throne, and gives a severe test of
heart, and a sentence testing the loyalty of the
True mother (true Church, self-sacrificial
worshippers) and the corruption of heart of
the false mother (false church, lip-service only
worshippers).
In 1 Kings 3 KJB we read …

which the king had judged; and they
feared the king: for they saw that the
wisdom of God was in him, to do
judgment.” – 1 Kings 3:28 KJB
In Ezra 2 KJB we read …
… of the peoples of God coming out of
Babylon, and going to their new home -
Jerusalem.
Among those peoples, were those of the
line of Aaron and the priesthood, but in
order for them to engage in the service of
the Temple being rebuilt, they had to go
through an investigation to show their
lineage …
In Ezra 2 KJB we read …

“And these were they which went up from

Telmelah, Telharsa, Cherub, Addan, and
Immer: but they could not shew their
father's house, and their seed, whether
they were of Israel:” – Ezra 2:59 KJB
In Ezra 2 KJB we read …

children of Habaiah, the children of Koz,
the children of Barzillai; which took a wife
of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite,
and was called after their name:”
– Ezra 2:61 KJB

investigated, and is tested, while God and
the Heavenly council of angels are directly
involved in judgment.

considered my servant Job, that there is
none like him in the earth, a perfect and
an upright man, one that feareth God, and
escheweth evil?” – Job 1:8 KJB
In Ezekiel 9 KJB we read …

… an investigation into the lives of the

place comes afterwards by the angels of
God, beginning with the elders of the
temple/sanctuary on down to the least.

offering in righteousness.”

ground?” – Luke 13:7 KJB
In the Gospels KJB of the disciples we read …

… the disciples themselves were sifted,

and we can even see this further with

courtyard (typical of courtyard of the
sanctuary) of the Highpriest, being tested
three times (typical of the three messages
of Revelation 14:6-12 KJB).

Two Things

[1] There are Books of Heaven, in which

things are written, which may be retained,
or blotted out.
[2] God, has His mind, in which things are
‘remembered’ or ‘forgotten’.
Religionists

They knew not the time, nor purpose, for they knew not the Lord.
Perhaps, it is the word “investigative” with
“judgment” that people have a hard time with…
In Daniel 7:9-10, notice other translations:
[MSG] “… The courtroom was called to order,
and the books were opened. …”
[NOG] “… The court convened, and the books
were opened …”
[ISV] “… The court sat in judgment, and record
books were unsealed …”
[GNT] “… The court began its session, and the
books were opened …”
God gave us a type of how God operates in Heaven:

“Then shalt thou enquire, and make

search, and ask diligently; and,
behold, if it be truth, and the thing
certain, that such abomination is
wrought among you;”
– Deuteronomy 13:14 KJB
(context, men going after other gods,
Belial, vs. 13)
Deuteronomy 13:14, other English translations:

[AMP] “… then you shall investigate and

search out [witnesses] and ask thorough
questions …”
[CSB] “… you are to inquire, investigate,
and interrogate thoroughly…”
[HCSB] “… you are to inquire, investigate,
and interrogate thoroughly …”
God gave us another type:
“And the judges shall make diligent
inquisition: and, behold, if the witness
be a false witness, and hath testified
falsely against his brother;”
– Deuteronomy 19:18 KJB
(context, a controversy between two
persons, see vs. 17)
Deuteronomy 19:18, other English translations:

[AMP] “… The judges shall investigate

thoroughly …”
[CSB] “… The judges are to make a careful
investigation …”
[CJB] “… The judges are to investigate
carefully …”
[HCB] “… The judges are to make a careful
investigation …”
There is even a translation which uses the
direct word “investigative”:
[OJB] “thought it expedient also, having done
an iyun (investigative research), accurately and
carefully being meayen (engaged in research)
in every source and making a medakdeke
(pain-stakingly thorough) investigation of
every aspect from HaReshit (the Beginning), to
write for you and to mesader (arrange, place in
succession) an orderly account, most noble
Theophilus,” – Luke 1:3 [OJB]
What all need to understand, is that …

“Evil men understand not judgment: but

they that seek the LORD understand all
things.” – Proverbs 28:5 KJB
… but, “Wait!, What about what Jesus said …”

“Judge not, that ye be not judged.”

– Matthew 7:1 KJB
“Judge not, and ye shall not be judged:
condemn not, and ye shall not be
condemned: forgive, and ye shall be
forgiven:” – Luke 6:37 KJB
… but, “Wait!, What about what Jesus said …”

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that

heareth my word, and believeth on him
that sent me, hath everlasting life, and
shall not come into condemnation; but is
passed from death unto life.”
– John 5:24 KJB
Those texts are true and in harmony with the
“Investigative Judgment”!
As a person accepts the offer of God in
Christ Jesus and continues believing, they
are truly passed from death to life, but this
does not eliminate the possibility (not
necessity) of loss once more (of ceasing to
believe), for any may later choose to walk
away from the relationship for ever (see
Hebrews 6:4-8 KJB for example, or King Saul
o the OT or Ananias and Sapphira of the NT).
Those texts are true and in harmony with the
“Investigative Judgment”!

As for Matthew 7:1 KJB, notice the context:

“For with what judgment ye judge, ye
shall be judged: and with what measure
ye mete, it shall be measured to you
again.” – Matthew 7:2 KJB
Therefore, live & judge in God’s mercy
(Matthew 18) shown already.
The “Investigative Judgment” will truly show who
has accepted salvation by grace and lives by faith:

“If we have forgotten the name of our

God, or stretched out our hands to a
strange god;” – Psalms 44:20 KJB
“Shall not God search this out? for he
knoweth the secrets of the heart.”
– Psalms 44:21 KJB
Remember what Adam did in Eden? He played
“Hide” and God came Seeking. Job comments:
Remember what Adam did in Eden? He played
“Hide” and God came Seeking. Job comments:

“If I covered my transgressions as Adam,

by hiding mine iniquity in my bosom:”
– Job 31:33 KJB
The “Investigative Judgment” will
show whether our profession was
genuine and true before all the
Heavenly universe, or whether we are
still hiding from God and attempting
to cover our sins by our own works,
which rejects the salvation and
redemption offered in Christ Jesus.
Do we still look like this to God?
Or this when we pray? Do we have a “form of godliness”,
but inwardly are attempting to hide our sin from God?
Are we as the self-righteous Pharisee?, and still in our sins, yet in a
much worse condition, not acknowledging our condition? Laodicea
(Revelation 3:15-18 KJB) is in that condition. It was the condition of Saul
of Tarsus (Romans 7:24 KJB), before also.
Do we truly think that God does not already
know?
“The heart is deceitful above all things,
and desperately wicked: who can know
it?” – Jeremiah 17:9 KJB
“I the LORD search the heart, I try the
reins, even to give every man according to
his ways, and according to the fruit of his
doings.” – Jeremiah 17:10 KJB
There is nothing hid which shall not come
abroad:

“And it shall come to pass at that time,

that I will search Jerusalem with candles,
and punish the men that are settled on
their lees: that say in their heart, The
LORD will not do good, neither will he do
evil.” – Zephaniah 1:12 KJB
Let us search the scriptures and see ourselves,
as we truly are, not as we think we are:

“Let us search and try our ways, and turn

again to the LORD.”
– Lamentations 3:40 KJB
For what can any truly say to God:

“When he maketh inquisition for blood,

he remembereth them: he forgetteth not
the cry of the humble.” – Psalms 9:12 KJB
Will God find the “blood” of others on your hands and
garments?
Or will God find that the “blood” of Jesus
has cleansed us from all sin instead?
Investigate yourself by scripture,
and with others be ye merciful:

“For if we would judge ourselves, we

should not be judged.”
– 1 Corinthians 11:31 KJB
Investigate yourself by scripture,
and with others be ye merciful:
“So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall
be judged by the law of liberty.”
– James 2:12 KJB
“For he [God] shall have judgment
without mercy, that hath shewed no
mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against
judgment.”
– James 2:13 KJB
