BRIEF HISTORY OF MIS
The Information and Communications Technology
(ICT), Directorate (Formerly MIS Unit ) was approved
in 2022 by the university council in order to create
and maintained a sustainable ICT infrastructure in
the University for the purpose of supporting teaching,
learning, and research inline with the university’s
vision of ICT driven institution producing career-
focused and skilled graduate.
WORK CARRIED OUT
 CONCLUSION
The SIWES program has offered me the opportunity to
broaden my understanding of communication regarding my
profession. it opened me up to solve problems, interact and
share practical knowledge with students from other
institutions of higher learning.
 RECOMMENDATION
1. The university should be able to be involved in the direct
placements of students ( if not all but some students ) as this will
reduce student loitering about looking for SIWES placement.

2. A single university visit/inspection by supervisors from the

university is not enough. a regular visits will install seriousness in the
student and the company where she/he has been posted to

3. Students on the other hand should endeavor to get experience

instead of looking of places of higher pay (knowledge is what
generates wealth.
