1.Introduction

• Hi, Good Morning.


• I am Dr Zaw, Nice to meet you.
• Let me examine your eye.
2. Inspection

• There is no abnormal head posture,


• No ptosis, No inward & outward deviation of
eye
3. Instruction
• Do you see this ?
• It is single or double?
• Follow this target by moving your eyes?
• Don’t move your head nor face.
• Please tell me when you see it double at any
position.
Move the object in 9 cardinal
position.(H shape)

Hold in each position for at least


5 seconds.

Start with horizontal full range


Rt –Lt, Lt- Rt.

Smooth persuit m/m (+/_)


Limitation?, Diplopia?,
Nystagmus?
Lid Narrowing, widening
4.Saccades (Horizontal & Vertical)
• I will now show my fist & target. ( white and
red pin)
• You must look at them alternatively ( 1 after
another)
• Look at my fist, now look at the target.

• (Why do you examine saccades- Mild or


recoverd INO, ocular dysmetria)
5. Convergence
• Do you see this
• I will move this t/w you ( from ½ meter) to Near
point 10cm.
• Just keep looking at this by converging your
eyes.
• Please tell me “ double” when you see it
double.
(Why do you examine convergence-
convergence insufficiency)
