PRAYER
Lord Jesus, we give praise to Your holy name. We devote
ourselves to you because we are nothing without You. Please
forgive us for all of our sins and teach us how to become
stewards of creation. Give us the heart with full of
compassion and strong stance to always choose right from
wrong. Lord, please clear our hearts and minds so that we
can accept new things and learnings from our lesson for

Music has a way of going into the deep
parts of our soul that assists in our
expression and response to God and the
church. Singing helps unites us in the
church. The gospel alone unites believers
with one another. Can you imagine
attending to church without music?
RENAISSANCE PERIOD
(1400-1600)

 Comes from the word renaitre which means rebirth,


revival and rediscovery.
 “Golden Era of acapella choral music”
 Music during this period became an important leisure
activity for amateurs and the educated. Members of
the upper class (bourgeois class) were expected to
have received musical training.

• Lute is their prominent

Music started to decline as the new
genre arose.
