And philosopy and judge him with history. Ahmet Kaya was born in Malatya in 1957, as the fifth child of a Kurdish father from Adıyaman and a Turkish mother from Malatya. He studied primary school in Malatya. He was introduced to music at the age of six through the baglama gifted by his father. He started working in a shop selling records and cassettes during his remaining time from school. Because his family had financial difficulties, they migrated to Istanbul, in 1972 and he had to leave school. I wasn't talking to them; because I couldn't talk to them. Their clothes were different, their language was different. There was a girl at our school; Everyone has a first love, a childhood love. One day I went and said, "Let’s have conversation just for 5 minutes, like you always run away from me, I just want to talk." She said to me, "You're welcome." It hurt me so much that I said, "I would like to ask you too." You know, I didn't know the meaning of "You're welcome" at that time, so I thought it was a swear word. He suffered economic difficulties due to unemployment. Meanwhile, his wife broke up with him. Hoping to get rid of these economic problems, he tried to go to prison by "acting against the system", as he put it. Finally, after long efforts, he released his album Ağlama Bebek in 1984. He gave a small concert at Istanbul Şan Theatre. The album was confiscated the year it was released, but its censorship was later lifted. In 1985, for his second album, Holding on to Pain, he signed an agreement with Change Studio, just like the first album. He married with Gülten Hayaloğlu after the album was released. At the award ceremonies held at the Princess Hotel congress of the Magazine Journalists Association on February 10, 1999, He won the best artist of the year and his speech at the seremony changed attitude towards him: "For this award, I thank the Human Rights Association, Saturday Mothers, all press workers and all of Turkey." "I thank the people. I have a statement: I am currently preparing and I will sing a Kurdish song in the album that will be released in the coming days and shoot a video clip for this song. I know that there are courageous television broadcasters among us who will broadcast this clip, and if they broadcast it, how they will deal with the people of Turkey." I cannot explain now what happened that night. I'm sure you all know the subject. I wish that night had never happened, I'm sure we wouldn't have lost him so soon if that night hadn't happened. I just want to say that I hate racism and I think we should judge people by their humanity. On November 16, 2000, while recording his album "Hoşçakalın Gözüm", he died of a heart attack at his home in the Porte de Versailles district of Paris. He was buried in the 71st section of Paris' Père Lachaise Cemetery in a ceremony attended by over 30,000 people on 17 November 2000. Ahmet Kaya according to the new generation
