Stakeholder Requirements
• Structured Data : Efficient data analysis and exploration
necessitate structured data, enabling meaningful EDA during
initial project phase.
• Data-Driven Analysis : Investigate essential factors such as
pesticides, fertilizer, pH value, humidity and other factors to
determine the most suitable crops for specific conditions,
ensuring optimal crop suitability.
• Recommendation Development : Develop practical strategies
to enhance crop production, including maximizing better
irrigation, soil health and promoting high-yield crop varieties.
• Enhance Agriculture Productivity : Analyze factors affecting
yields, improve productivity, and ensure sustainable food
production.
• Dashboard Development : Create interactive dashboard to
monitor crop harvest, pesticide use, soil nutrients and related
data through engaging visuals.
Project Scope :
Project Plan
• Web-based Platform for Farmers : Create a user-friendly
platform that recommends suitable crops based on various
farming conditions and interprets crop yield analysis.
• Data-Driven Analysis : Using advanced data analytics tools for
in-depth analysis of crop suitability, incorporating attributes like
pesticides, pH levels, humidity, and rainfall.
• Geographical Insights : By analyzing crop performance in various
geographical conditions, ensuring efficient solution for farmers
across country by customizing them to specific soil
characteristics.
• Accurate Crop Yield Prediction : Using ML algorithms, we aim to
analyze and forecast how various elements impact crop
productivity.
• Analyzing Environmental Factors : To analyze relationship
between crop productivity, seasons and soil characteristics to
identify how it affects the production.
Project Plan
Project Objectives :
• Yield Analysis : To conduct a detailed analysis to identify key
factors influencing crop yields, providing a comprehensive
understanding of their contribution.
• Agricultural Factors and Crop Suitability : To analyze direct
relationship between factors like rainfall, temperature,
fertilizer and pesticides and their influence on crop suitability,
to enhance overall yield and productivity.
• Crop Selection Based on Soil Suitability : To identify and
recommend crops based on soil characteristics, to maximize
crop productivity and resource efficiency.
• Enhance Agriculture Practices : To examine pH levels,
humidity and optimize area harvested for better enhanced
productivity.
• Quality Assurance for Deliverables : To ensure data quality
while providing accurate recommendations for real-world
farming.
Project Plan
WHY THIS PROJECT?
• Indian agriculture is pivotal to the economy and employment but faces lower yield
compared to top producing countries like China, Brazil, and the United States..
• Despite high production in crops like wheat, rice, pulses, sugarcane, and cotton,
India's yield per unit of land is notably lower than China, Brazil, and the US.
• Project aims to analyze factors contributing to this yield gap, focusing on
improving productivity for sustainable food production.
• Research will provide actionable recommendations such as upgrading irrigation
systems, optimizing soil management, promoting high-yield crop varieties, and
supporting farmer education.

Change Management
• Due to schedule constraints, we held meetings outside regular
working hours. Initially, our plan was to utilize Tableau for our project.
• However, due to computational constraints, we made a strategic
decision to pivot and instead opted to use Power BI for our data
visualization and analysis needs.
• This shift was necessary to ensure that we could continue progressing
with our project efficiently despite the time limitations and constraints
we encountered.
Quality Management
• In our project, major emphasis is on accurate crop recommendation.
• Our suggestions involve carefully looking into the best humidity and
temperature levels for different crops.
• This helps create an environment that supports strong and healthy
growth.
• We also closely examine our results to understand how rainfall
patterns affect crop growth.
• By doing this, we can improve the quality of what we provide and give
farmers the information they need to make smart decisions about
their farming practices
