Furthermore...…
Christ’s disciples are predestined to bear much fruit.
SO, IN OUR RESPECTIVE MINISTRY
AREAS…
“We are not just to be like barn
of seeds rather we are seeds that
needs to be planted.”
-Kuya Boni Arazadon, Jr.
MATTHEW13:31-32
31 He told them another parable: “The kingdom
of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man
took and planted in his field. 32 Though it is
the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it
is the largest of garden plants and becomes a
tree, so that the birds come and perch in its
branches.”
LUCAS12:16-21
16 And he told them this parable: “The
ground of a certain rich man yielded an
abundant harvest. 17 He thought to himself,
‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my
crops.’ 18 “Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do.
I will tear down my barns and build bigger
ones, and there I will store my surplus grain.
LUCAS12:16-21
19 And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain
laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and
be merry.”’ 20 “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This
very night your life will be demanded from you.
Then who will get what you have prepared for
yourself?’ 21 “This is how it will be with whoever
stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward
God.”

MESSAGE 4

God's Predestined Will

for the Church
ROMANS8:28-30
28 And we know that in all things God works for the
good of those who love him, who have been called
according to his purpose. 29 For those God foreknew
he also predestined to be conformed to the image of
his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many
brothers and sisters. 30 And those he predestined, he
also called; those he called, he also justified; those he
justified, he also glorified.
INTRODUCTION
Challenges faced by the early church in Acts,
like disputes over caring for widows and the
lesson of Ananias and Sapphira, were turned
into opportunities for growth. These trials,
though difficult, led to a more organized and
mature church.
INTRODUCTION

Through God's guidance, the issues were

resolved, teaching important values like
integrity and unity. Despite adversity, the church
grew stronger, showing God's plan prevailing
through challenges, shaping the church for His
purposes.
INTRODUCTION

The principles of evangelism and church growth

in the New Testament still apply in the way we
do ministry today. The victories of the early
disciples will also be our victories if we imitate
their faith and obedience to the Lord Jesus.
KEY POINTS
1 God’s Sovereign Authority

2 Evangelistic Strategy

3 Founding Churches

4 Open Gospel
1
GOD’S SOVEREIGN
AUTHORITY
GOD’S SOVEREIGN AUTHORITY
God is in total control.
Despite the abundance of conflicts and setbacks to the
early church, God is the final victor. The martyrdom of
Stephen (7:54-60) does not reduce the church to a
level of frightened ineffectiveness.
To the contrary, the persecution that broke out against
the disciples scattered the church throughout Judea
and Samaria.
The persecuted church then became the proclaiming
church as the dispersion spread the gospel to new areas.
GOD’S SOVEREIGN AUTHORITY
If the murder of Stephen was an external factor that
led to the growth of the church, numerous internal
problems were also turned into divine victories.
One such example is the Ananias and Sapphira
incident of Acts 5.
The victory is noted in a sequence of events: all who
heard about the incident were seized with fear (5:11);
the "outside world" highly regarded the church (5:11);
and "more and more men and women believed in the
Lord and were added to their number" (5:14).
GOD’S SOVEREIGN AUTHORITY
The book of Acts reveals to us a beautiful and very
important truth, despite any obstacle, problem or
difficulty that God's children face, the Lord will
prevail and succeed and His plans will be fulfilled.
Nothing can stop what the Lord God Almighty has set!
It is clear that we people are commanded by the Lord
God to go and fulfill His ministry, but we must
understand that our power and success is not due to
our own strength or effort.

No matter what impossible situation
we face, the Lord will lead us to
succeed and His works will advance.

2
EVANGELISTIC
STRATEGY
EVANGELISTIC STRATEGY
While the sovereignty of God provides us with the
comfort that an all-knowing, all-powerful God is in
control, there is still a vital necessity of human
cooperation.
With specific instructions from Jesus, the apostles
established a strategy of evangelism to reach
Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the
earth (1:8).
EVANGELISTIC STRATEGY
Evangelistic strategy should not be set in opposition
to a Sovereign God but seen as a mandated action
to fulfill the perfect purpose of God. It must be of
the same urgency and intensity as that of Christ.
If we are expecting to gain new believers without
our active involvement, effort, or commitment of
the existing believers in evangelism it is unlikely
to yield significant results.
EVANGELISTIC STRATEGY
Planning and strategic evangelism is not against
God's leadership. The Bible clearly teaches that
people can make a plan but they leave it to the
Lord. We can see that there was a clear plan and
strategy followed by the apostles. They do not do
the ministry of the Lord lightly. They carefully
prayed, planned and executed it. In each situation,
the apostle Paul also presented the gospel in a way
that suited his listeners.
3
FOUNDING
CHURCHES
FOUNDING CHURCHES
The apostle Paul founded new churches instead of just
doing 'missionary work'. In just 10 years, the apostle
Paul established a Christian church in 4 provinces of
the Roman Empire, Galatia, Macedonia, Achaia and
Asia. Before A.D. 47, there were no Christian
churches in the provinces. When A.D. 57, the apostle
Paul said that he had finished the work that the Lord
was doing. Apostle Paul did not just preach the gospel
in one place. He stayed there for a long time to grow
believers and build the church.
4
OPEN
GOSPEL
OPEN GOSPEL
The Gospel of Christ is for all!
The apostles most likely were unaware of the
radical implications of Jesus' command to be
witnesses "in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and
Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" (1:8).
The gospel was breaking down the barriers of both
geography and race. The kingdom was larger than
Israel.
OPEN GOSPEL
The Gospel breaks down the walls that separate
cultures and generations. The conflict between the
Jews and the Samaritans had been going on for
hundreds of years but the wall of this conflict was
destroyed by the Lord through the preaching of
Philip in Samaria (8:1-40) and the Ethiopian
eunuch. The gospel transcends all cultural and
generational differences. Salvation is only through
faith in Christ and not because of any human
works or traditions.
CHALLENGE

1. Be bold and courageous in facing all

the trials and problems of the ministry
because we are sure that God will use
all of them to fulfill His plan and
improve His work.
CHALLENGE

2. Pray and ask the Lord for a proper

plan and strategy to preach the gospel
and help new believers grow in the
Lord.
CHALLENGE

3. Lead the church to a commitment to give

evangelism priority. Evangelism was a way
of life for the early Christians, and God’s
disciples in the last days, we also give our
lives for the gospel.
GOD BLESS AND MULTIPLY
YOUR GENERATIONS!
