EXPOSITION:

-The narrator is insane and he is


planning to murder the old man
because of his “evil eye”.
RISING ACTION:

-The narrator continuously


checks on the old man at
midnight for 7 nights.
CLIMAX:
-On the eighth night, the lantern light lands on
the open eye of the old man, The narrator
became enraged. He thinks that the neighbors
will hear the old man’s heart beat so the narrator
murdered the old man right away and
dismembering the body.
FALLING ACTION:
-The narrator disposes the body
under the floor boards in the old
man’s bedroom. 3 Police officers
arrived. The narrator had
conversations with the police while
sitting on where the body is. The
narrator began to go insane,
thinking that the police will hear
the old man’s heart beating.
RESOLUTION:

-The narrator admits


killing the old man.
