INTRODUCTION:

Le tube de Pitot est un dispositif simple


permettant de mesurer la vitesse
d’écoulement d’un
fluide par la mesure de la pression
dynamique exercée par son mouvement.
Ce dispositif est
très répandu en aéronautique, Dans cette
introduction, nous plongerons dans le
monde du tube de Pitot pour en découvrir
son fonctionnement et ses nombreuses
applications.

Le tube de Pitot est un dispositif simple permettant de


mesurer la vitesse d’écoulement d’un fluide par la mesure de
la pression dynamique exercée par son mouvement. Ce
dispositif est très répandu en aéronautique et aussi utilisé en
hydraulique pour mesurer la vitesse d’un liquide dans une
conduite, la vitesse d’un bateau , d’un sous-marin etc.

*Tube de Pitot simple*
Il s'agit du type le plus basique de tube de
Pitot. Il est constitué d'un tube unique qui
est pointé directement dans le flux du
fluide. Ce tube mesure la pression totale .
*Tube de Pitot-Statique*

Il s'agit d'une version améliorée du tube de Pitot


simple. Il est constitué d'un tube à double paroi, le
tube intérieur mesure la pression totale et le tube
extérieur mesure la pression statique. Ce type de
tube est couramment utilisé dans l'aviation pour
mesurer la vitesse de l'air¹.
* Antenne de Prandtl *

est un tube Pitot-statique combiné. Il est


constitué de deux tubes coaxiaux dont
les orifices, en communication avec le
fluide dont on veut mesurer la vitesse,
sont disposés de façon particulière

Un manomètre mesure la différence de


pression entre les deux tubes, c'est-à-dire
la pression dynamique
