• It is a scale which lets students and teachers know in detail about students’ proficiency
level in English.
• It has 4 types of learner profiles.
• Upper level is placed between 55-68
• It includes all skills and detailed learning outcomes.

 If a student collects 90 points and above at this level during the


term, s/he will be eligible to pass onto their faculty without sitting EPE.

Students can do the exercises and activities on their workbooks

They are not graded. They are just for self study.

Principles of Academic Integrity

Any type of academic dishonesty (during exams or on assignments,


projects, etc.) is not tolerated and strongly condemned by TED
University. Academic frauds include, but are not limited to, the
following:
• Cheating (deliberately using or attempting to use course materials or
auxiliary equipment not allowed during an exam, etc.)
• Fabrication (deliberate falsification of data, information, or citations.)
• Aiding and abetting (helping someone in an act or attempt of
deliberate academic dishonesty)
• Plagiarism (using an author's words or ideas as if one's own)
Principles of Academic Integrity
• University is devoted to the principle of acting respectfully towards each
member of the community.
• University prohibits any act of discrimination or harassment; and offers
equal opportunities for all of its members and candidates regardless of
their race, ancestry, nationality, citizenship, religious belief, gender, sexual
identity, marital status, pregnancy, physical or mental disability, health
condition, age, etc.

• The intellectual property rights of the course materials belong to TEDU
ELS instructors and you are not allowed to make any modifications and
share printed/digital copies of these materials.
Make-up Exams
• TEDU ELS students can only take make-up exams for the FINALS and MIDTERMS on condition
that they submit medical reports issued by an institution recognized by the Ministry of Health
with no less than 4 days (4 consecutive days)
• ELS Executive Board will evaluate individual cases without any medical report.
• There will be no compensation of assignments/presentations/tasks that are subject to
evaluation.
• There is NO MAKE-UP for (Writing)Tasks/Presentations & Homework.
• The students who have received a health report can’t attend classes, take exams/in-class
writing tasks/ presentation during the period they are on report.
• If you miss a MIDTERM and a FINAL exam, you must contact ELS secretariat at els@tedu.edu.tr
with the documents justifying your excuse in one (1) working day.
Student Athletes and Other Social
Club Members
• These students are not given any extra absenteeism limits and they are
not given permission for practices, organizations, competitions etc.
• These students need to make use of their already-given absenteeism
limit.
Writing Center
• The Writing Centre aims to support TEDU students through individual
tutoring to help students further improve their written English
communication skills.

Speaking Center
• The mission of the Speaking Center is to aid the improvement of TEDU
students’ English oral communication skills.

• Specifically, our goal is to provide individualized one-on-one sessions.

TEDU Portal
• You need to have your STUDENT ID and PASSWORD from the IT
Department to use TEDU PORTAL.

Your exam grades at the end of the module are shared through this
platform.
How To Improve Your Language Skills
• Use the INTERNET. There are a lot of webpages that you can study grammar, vocabulary,
reading, listening,writing and speaking. Some example webpages are:
