Good afternoon teacher and classmates,
today I will talk about the country of
Austria.

Austria is in the heart of Europe. Its

capital is Vienna and its official language
is German. Austria has a very rich history
and culture, more outstanding than
German history, officially its name is the
Republic of Austria (Republik
Österreich). Austria is crossed by the
Danube River.

The film The Sound of Music was filmed
in Salzburg and Wolfgang Amadeus
Mozart was born in this same city.

Its gastronomy is better, but its desserts

are the most delicious in terms of food.
The most popular and tourist places to
visit are: Hallstatt (a town that was the
inspiration for the Disney movie
FROZEN), the multiple castles and
fortresses (built to defend the city from
salt pirates), Mirabell Palace and
gardens, the Mozart's house and multiple
activities in the alps (climbing, hiking,
etc.)
The climate is quite sunny and hot in
summer but very cold in winter.
Austria is warmer than Germany, but
Germany is colder than Austria in
winter.

The cheapest way to travel is to take

a flight from Peru to Madrid or
Munich and then take a direct train
to Vienna. Within Austria the
cheapest, most comfortable and most
common way to get around is by
bicycle.
