physical activities.
• It is capacity to carry out the day’s
activities without undue fatigue
including activities required for work
at home and in the workplace.

• Improve over-all body • Consists of components
condition and well-being. that have a relationship
• It help the body to perform with learning motor-skills
more efficiently. quickly, and the ability to
achieve a high level of
performance in game.
Health-related Components
•Cardiorespiratory Endurance
•Muscular Endurance
•Muscular Strength
•Body Composition
•Flexibility
Cardiorespiratory Endurance
• It pertains to the ability of the
heart, lungs, and blood vessels
to supply the oxygen needed
by the body.
• walking, jogging, swimming
Muscular Endurance
• refers to the ability to sustain a level of
muscle tension. This important in
preventing injury and in maintaining
good posture.
•Push-ups
Muscular Strength
• It is the force muscle produces in a single
effort.
•Good strength enables performance of
daily activities efficiently with less effort.
• bench press, squats, pull-ups, lunges.
Body Composition
• refers to the proportion of lean body
mass to the level of body fat.
•Body Mass Index - a measure of a body
fat based on the height and weight of a
person, and is used to determine
whether a person has a healthy weight.
Flexibility
• the ability to flex muscles and move
joints freely. Development of long
muscles allows flexibility which depend
on the stretching of muscles.
• static streching
Skill-related Components
•Agility
•Speed
•Reaction time
•Coordination
•Balance
•Power
AGILITY
• The ability of the body to
change direction quickly.
• badminton, basketball,
and table tennis.
SPEED
• The ability to move
quickly from one point
to another in a straight
line.
REACTION TIME
• Amount of time it
takes to get moving.
COORDINATION
• Integration with hand and/or foot
movements to produced smooth, quick,
and efficiently controlled movement.
BALANCE
• The ability to maintain an
upright posture while keeping
still or moving.
POWER
• The ability to release maximum force
quickly. It is a combination of speed and
strength.
